Celebrating the excellent work of our History classes for creating an interactive Canadian history exhibit in the Learning Commons. The exhibit invited SMP students to explore significant developments in Canadian history through an Indigenous lens, with Indigenous voices and perspectives thoughtfully embedded throughout.

The displays and hands-on activities were highly engaging and sparked meaningful conversations. In speaking with the students, it was clear their learning reflected deep, critical, and reflective thinking. They demonstrated a strong understanding of historical complexity and the importance of Indigenous perspectives in shaping Canada’s past and present. This exhibit showcased powerful student-centred learning and meaningful engagement across grades.
