50/50 SAFE GRAD - WINNER

Families and graduates have selected and been scheduled into a time slot where each graduate will have a special convocation with their chosen guests at the school. These times have been communicated with families and graduates; call the office if you do not have your allotted time.
Caps and gowns will be available for pick up at the school on June 18th and 19th in Room 102, from 8:30-3:00. Students will thus have their cap and gowns a week in advance of the convocation ceremony to allow students and families many opportunities for photos in a variety of settings.
Important Information
- Arriving 15 minutes before your scheduled time is necessary to allow for graduates to be organized and guests to be seated.
- Enter by the Northeast entrance (rear Gymnasium). Staff will guide guests as they arrive.
- Graduates will gather in the theatre upon their arrival to be lined up for the convocation ceremony.
- People can park in the student parking lot. If the lot is full, there is street parking available. Make note of parking signage.
- If there are accessibility needs for guests, please let staff know as soon as you enter the school.
- Photo opportunities will be available throughout the school.

Grad Breakfast - June 12
If you are able to donate a fruit platter and/or baking, please drop off at the River East Collegiate office on Thursday June 11th or from 8:00am – 3:30 p.m. Thank you so much for your help and consideration!

Grad Dinner Update:
Our Grad Dinner/Parent Safe Grad Event Under the Stars will be held on June 23rd, 2026 at 5:30 pm at the RBC Convention Centre.
Safe Grad contracts were handed out in April and should be handed in as soon as possible to avoid any delays in processing or a $25.00 late fee. (If students need a replacement contract, please see Ms. Wakeling in Student Services.)
Tickets for the event are $100 each and can be purchased by cash or cheque from Ms. Wakeling or Ms. Dawert in Student Services from May 19th - May 29th. If paying by cheque, please make it out to River East Collegiate. (Students must have all outstanding school fees paid before tickets can be purchased.) Seating will be arranged in tables of eight and a seating map will be viewable on the Grade 12 Teams Channel as of May 19th. Seats will be selected at the time of ticket purchase.
The event will consist of a formal dinner from 6:00 - 8:30 followed immediately by a Safe Grad event for students and approved guests. Family and friends are welcome to purchase tickets and join their graduate for the dinner portion of the evening.
The menu for this year is:
Caesar Salad - crostini, parmesan crisp
Herb Marinated Roasted Chicken Supreme - cheddar and chive mash potatoes, baby carrots, broccolini, wild mushroom cream sauce
Red Velvet Cake - vanilla cream
